Margaret grew up in the Deep South but failed to develop a convincing accent and was eventually asked to leave. However, she retains an affection for boiled peanuts, screen doors, and the smell of pluff mud. Before moving to Oakland in 2013, she studied literature and creative writing and traveled around the country in a Toyota Camry. At Godfrey Dadich, Margaret juggles multiple editing and writing tasks, of which overseeing usage of the Oxford comma is only one. She loves swimming, Amy Hempel, and greyhounds (the drink and the dog), and would rather go to the movies than do almost anything else (especially if that movie involves a good fight scene). Also, admittedly, she likes The Bachelor.
