Junior Copywriter

As a junior copywriter, you’re a whiz with words. You might have a few years’ experience at an ad agency under your belt. Or maybe a publication. Maybe you were an English major in college. Or maybe you just like telling stories. More than anything, you will be our go-to resource for whatever needs to be written. From social posts to brand campaigns and anything in between. Key responsibilities include:

Writing copy for a variety of clients, from B2B tech to consumer tech to pro bono.

Writing print ads, video scripts, radio scripts, web banners, emails, and more.

Contributing to and helping maintain our in-house social media efforts.

Updating existing content on our web pages.

Writing for email marketing campaigns.

Implementing SEO practices to increase blog posts’ visibility.

Interviewing internal team members (e.g. product developers and salespeople) to learn about product features.

Coordinating with designers to complement text with images, graphics and charts, as needed.

Effectively presenting ideas and concepts internally and externally.

Working cross-functionally with management team and departments.


 

Qualifications include:

BA or equivalent experience.

2+ years of agency experience as a junior copywriter, content writer, or similar role.

Familiar and active user of social media.

Copywriting samples; a portfolio of published articles is a plus.

An ability to describe product features in a creative and informative way.

Excellent writing and editing skills in English.

Hands-on experience with content management systems (e.g. WordPress).

Basic knowledge of SEO and keyword research tools (e.g. Keyword Planner and Moz).

Familiarity with social media for business.

Solid time-management skills.

Junior Designer

This role will live at the intersection of editorial content creation and innovative marketing and brand work. Projects will cross a wide range of disciplines: brand identity development, campaign concept development, web design, and editorial design and art direction. Prior experience in all of these areas is not required, but an eagerness to learn and collaborate is a must.

 

Key responsibilities include:

Producing and commissioning work for a wide range of formats: print, web, social media, brand identity, out-of-home, video, animation, Keynote, among others.

Presenting your concepts and design rounds to the internal team for feedback.

Working closely with a team of designers, copywriters, account managers, and strategists to refine and elevate the creative.

 

Qualifications include:

Previous experience working in a professional design environment.

Highly collaborative and resourceful. A self-starter who proactively moves projects forward between reviews.

Excellent communication skills. Must be able to articulate, document, and present the logic underlying a proposed design.

Strong comfort level with an organic and iterative design process. Approaches feedback as an opportunity to learn and improve as an individual and as a team.

Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail. Has a keen interest in typography and grid, and follows current trends in design.

Demonstrated fluency with design tools such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, and Keynote. Animation/motion or programming skills are a plus.

Project Manager

You have the steely nerves and foresight commonly found in air traffic control rooms. You’ll be bringing your skills to bear in a fast-moving design firm while multiple deadlines, projects, and personalities are careening towards you at lightning speed. You will be the one responsible for the successful flow of print and digital work between creatives, editors, production gurus, and account managers. You must take initiative, be proactive, and ensure that projects are carried out on time at the highest level of quality.

 

Key responsibilities include:

Developing and updating schedules and project plans based on SOWs, client briefs, and input from the account and creative leads.

Ensuring teams are briefed properly and that all deliverables, dependencies, timelines, and budgets are understood.

Working alongside creatives, account managers, editors, and the production team to create compelling and beautiful content.

Managing the approval process for internal and external stakeholders in partnership with relevant department and project leads.

Tracking all assigned projects and keeping department and project lead(s) abreast of workload and day-to-day updates.

Leading and actively participating in all internal status meetings on assigned accounts.

Anticipating and communicating team needs, project gating issues, and general updates throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Qualifications include:

± 4 years of experience working in a project management role, ideally in a design or design-related context.

Deep understanding of the content development process (web, advertising, social, etc.) and its critical dependencies.

Highly collaborative, resourceful, and motivated, the ideal candidate is a self-starter who proactively moves projects forward.

Excellent communication skills; must be able to articulate, document, and present the status of a project and the key dependencies to get it to completion.

Strong comfort level and flexibility for an organic and iterative design process.

Abnormally well organized with strong attention to detail.

Familiar with Slack, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Microsoft Office, Airtable, and Keynote.

Senior Art Director (UX)

You’re a strategic creative with advertising experience who’s well-versed in the latest interaction design principles and processes. You’ll be bringing your skills to bear in a fast-moving design firm where you’ll be problem-solving at the highest level of insight and rigor for an array of compelling clients.  

 

Key responsibilities include:

Developing simple and elegant approaches to complex design problems that keep user goals, business needs, technical requirements, and project budget in consideration.

Organizing and architecting content, features, and functionality for new and existing websites and applications.

Translating business requirements into innovative and intuitive design solutions.

Working in lock-step with a team of designers, copywriters, account managers, and strategists to refine and elevate design proposals, recommendations, and solutions.

Collaborating with team members in discovery/strategy phases of the design process to shape a design brief.

You are not afraid of research and recognize the importance of it in shaping persona work.

Generating wireframes (low fidelity, high fidelity, and visual design) and prototypes to achieve team alignment.

Working with engineers both internally and externally to develop projects.

 

Qualifications include:

8+ years designing experiences across multiple platforms.

Strong knowledge of interaction design principles and well-developed skills in creation and documentation (business requirements, interface design, functional specifications, persona work, component design, and information architecture).

Highly collaborative and resourceful with excellent communication skills.
Must be able to articulate, annotate, and present the logic underlying proposed designs.

Experience with digital editorial design process a plus.

Recognizes the importance of goal-centered design principles.

Strong comfort level with iterative design processes.

Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

Demonstrated fluency with tools such as Sketch, Zeplin, InVision, Photoshop, and Illustrator, and a familiarity with prototyping tools such as Principle.

Ability to delegate to junior designers, manage projects in conjunction with the project manager, work under pressure and tight deadlines, be mindful of project scopes and budget.

Experience designing front-end and back-end CMS workflows a plus
