To Florian, creative practice is a lot like soccer: success takes both personal skill and plenty of coordinated, efficient teamwork. Born in Chiang Mai, Thailand to a Thai mother and American father, he studied fine art and sequential art (see: comix) at SVA. His work has led him to publications from The Village Voice to New York magazine, and he’s led creative teams at Vibe and Fast Company. A long-time resident of New York’s Chinatown, Florian enjoys travel, chess, Indian cuisine, and that quiet time before the sun rises. And he still hasn’t gotten sick of listening to The Replacements.
